The Argentinean lawyer Raul Zaffaroni signed a request, where he asks to close the extradition process of Alex Saab; his prompt release and to proceed to his economic reparation.
Thanks to the different denunciations at international level, on the issue of the violation of human rights of the Venezuelan ambassador, Alex Saab, the current judge of the International Court of Human Rights (IACHR), the lawyer Raul Zaffaroni, joins his defense team.
The judge of the International Court of Human Rights, in his first act of defense accompanied a document that demands the freedom of Alex Saab; who has been detained since June of last year, under house arrest. South of Isla la Sal; this as a consequence of a health complication.
Raúl Zaffaroni asks to close the extradition process of Alex Saab
A few days ago it became known that the Argentinean lawyer Raul Zaffaroni orders to close the extradition process of Alex Saab; in a document called “Manifesto in favor of the fulfillment of human rights obligations”.
Also, in the document Raul Zaffaroni asks the authorities of the government of Cape Verde “to comply with its international human rights obligations”.
In addition, he argues that the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has issued a ruling ordering the Cape Verdean authorities to release Alex Saab immediately.
Let’s remember that it has been more than 340 days since Alex Saab was kidnapped in Cape Verde, without respecting his diplomatic immunity and all the rights to international conventions.
For this reason, many young people from Venezuela and around the world, displayed with banners at the Waraira repano in Caracas; and at the Fortín Solano in Puerto Cabello; to raise their petition and demand the release of Saab, a Venezuelan ambassador.
