Last Saturday, a concert was held in the Diego Ibarra square in Caracas, to demand the release of Alex Saab, illegally detained in June 2020 in the island of Cape Verde, due to pressures from the United States, where a file was opened against him for alleged money laundering as part of the economic blockade strategy used by this country against Venezuela.
Among those who appeared on stage during the concert was the urban music singer Omar Acedo, who was in charge of livening up the activity.
Concert for the release of Alex Saab
Those attending the event requested the United States to cease the economic and financial blockade against Venezuela, referring to the sanctions imposed by that country and the European Union.
During the concert, the attendees formed a human sign with the English phrase “Free Alex Saab” in rejection of the US action to extradite businessman Alex Saab.
Some segments of the concert were broadcasted through the social networks of the program Zurda Konducta broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión, as well as by the Chancellor, Jorge Arreaza, who, through Twitter, shared a photograph of this concert in homage to Alex Saab.
