A week after the illegal authorization of Alex Saab’s extradition to the United States, the renowned YouTube channel CODEPINK’s will hold a Webinar on the current situation of the Venezuelan ambassador in Cape Verde and the human rights measures rejected by the authorities in this case.
The sentence of the Constitutional Court of Cape Verde in the extradition process of Alex Saab; has left the international community upset, thanks to the laws and agreements have been violated; thanks to a senseless political persecution by the United States.
Let’s remember that Germano Almeida, one of Alex Saab’s defense attorneys, affirmed this Wednesday that his team expected the judicial instance to attend his appeals and unconstitutionality arguments on the case. Therefore, he does not believe that the mechanism should continue without the existence of an evaluation of the process assumptions, which were not analyzed by the Court.

The renowned YouTube channel CODEPINK’s “WTF is Going on in Latin America & the Caribbean” will bring this Wednesday, September 15 at 7:30 p.m. a webinar, where it will address the issue of Venezuela’s special envoy Alex Saab; the violation of human rights by the authorities of Cape Verde and the legal irregularities that have been committed in this case.
The seminar will include the participation of specialists in Human Rights, such as John Philpot, a defense attorney; in international criminal law, who is active in support organizations in the peace movement; and Yoav Elinevsky of MAPA, an organization that works to develop sustained political power to promote a more just and peaceful U.S. foreign policy.
